Reflection for April 27, 2017

"  And he fixed his attention on them, expecting to receive something from them."(Acts 3:5)

Most of us live with some level of expectancy in our lives.  We expect certain things from people.  Those things change depending on our relationship with the person.

We can also be disappointed by our expectations.  We may hope for something that doesn't materialize.  We may be ignored by others.  But we may also hope for something, anything each day.

The beggar looked at Peter and John and was expecting something, probably money because that was what came if anything from people.  He of course received something totally unexpected.

As people of faith we live in a joyful expectancy each day.  Sometimes we get what we expect and that's good and sometimes we are surprised and that's even better.

Blessings,
Ed
